Atlético de Madrid and Atlético Ottawa are promoting a development program for U-23 players.
The players will train following the Red & White methodology and will be able to join the training sessions of the North American first team and defend their jersey in friendly games.
Atlético de Madrid and our Canadian sister club, Atlético Ottawa, are promoting a development program for U-23 players, whose objective is to train players so that in the future they can become part of the first team of the North American team.
Throughout a whole year, these players will train following the Red & White principles and methodology, in the professional environment of Atlético Ottawa and in sessions that will take place every week at TD Place Stadium. These players - born in 1999 or later - enter the development program by invitation and although most of them reside in Ontario and Quebec, those from the rest of Canada are not excluded.
Kwesi Loney, assistant coach of Atlético Ottawa, directs this development program, whose players will have the opportunity to join the first team training sessions and wear their jerseys in friendly games, thus enabling them to earn a place in the first team. In addition, a select group of participants in the program will join Atlético Ottawa's pre-season and travel to Madrid to complete an unforgettable one hundred percent Red & White experience.
