Atleti drew 3-3 at Valencia in Sunday’s LaLiga fixture. Suárez, Griezmann and Vrsaljko scored our goals.

Things didn’t start well as Trippier was forced to leave the pitch through injury. He was replaced by Vrsaljko in the 8th minute. Our team dominated possession and had the first shot on target through Correa. It was saved by Cillessen. Carrasco also had an attempt from inside the box, which was just wide. Third time was the charm, though, as Suárez found the back of the net 35’ into the game to finally put us in front. It was a subtle left-foot finish from the Uruguayan to beat the keeper. The goal was enough to reach half-time 2-0 up.

Griezmann almost doubled our lead in the opening moments of the second half, but his header was wide. However, it was the hosts who scored to equalise from their first attempt. Guedes shot, the ball struck Savic and went into the back of the net. Atleti reacted in style and retook the lead right away through an exceptional Griezmann goal. The Frenchman produced a fantastic left-foot strike from outside the box. We didn’t stop there and Vrsaljko made it 3-1 shortly thereafter. Kondogbia came on for Correa in the 73rd minute, and De Paul and Suárez made way for Herrera and Joao Félix in the 87th. However, the referee added seven minutes of stoppage time, during which Valencia scored twice to equalise as the match ended 3-3.
