Atleti to participate in 2019 International Champions Cup
Our team is to participate in the seventh edition of the prestigious tournament. It will be the third time we do so, after taking part in the cup in 2016 and 2018.
This coming summer, Atleti is to compete against some of the world’s best sides in the 2019 International Champions Cup. The competition, which this year will reach its seventh edition, is considered the world’s most important friendly tournament.
It will be the third time our team participates in the ICC, having done so in 2016 and 2018. Three years ago, we faced Tottenham in Melbourne and Melbourne Victory in Geelong, whereas last summer we played Arsenal and PSG in Singapore and Inter Milan at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The 2019 ICC will be a tough challenge for Diego Pablo Simeone’s team during our 2019/20 pre-season.
