Atleti fans enjoy first training session of the year at the Wanda Metropolitano
Our fans enjoyed a special day at the stadium, in which they watched their idols train in the first session of 2019.
Wednesday was a special day at the Wanda Metropolitano, in which our fans enjoyed Atleti's first training session of the year.
The stadium's gates opened at 11 a.m. local time, kicking off an unforgettable day for our supporters. The club's official partner Hyundai brought the Kiss Cam and the Dance Cam, whereas our official medical insurer Acunsa provided the 'dizzy penalty challenge', which gave several fans the chance to take a shot from the penalty spot at the Wanda Metropolitano.
But those weren't the only surprises on this special day. Fourteen kids, all of whom are club members and were celebrating their birthday on Wednesday, were greeted by Indi inside the stadium. Our mascot presented all of them with a shirt with their name on the back and a cake.
Afterwards, it was time to watch Simeone's team train in preparation for the match against Sevilla. The lads began their session at 12 a.m. and were received by over 10,000 supporters, as well as the 14 birthday boys.
After the session, our players signed autographs and took pictures with the fans, and presented them with balls. The members of our Liga Genuine team also enjoyed a special moment when the session ended, as they were able to take pictures with the first team players.
