Arias: "I'm very happy and proud to have signed for this huge club"
The Colombian was welcomed as an Atlético by club president Enrique Cerezo at the auditorium in the Wanda Metropolitano.
Santiago Arias’ official presentation at the auditorium in the Wanda Metropolitano has become a reality. Our new number '4' was welcomed to Atlético by club president Enrique Cerezo.
"Santiago, at Atlético you'll find attractive and exciting objectives," Cerezo said. "Welcome to Atlético de Madrid."
Arias thanked the president and spoke about how proud he is to have joined our club.
"Im very happy and proud to have signed for this huge club. I hope to have success here," he said. "I’m going to fight for my spot with a great player like Juanfran. I’m here to give it my all."
Arias made his unofficial debut for our club against Cagliari and later played at the Wanda Metropolitan against Inter. He’s been working hard and is excited for the season.
"I'm sure I'll be able to grow as a footballer here."
