After visiting the works of the new stadium , Ana Botella admitted that the New Atletico´s temple will be a " new landmark " in which the club will host more than 70,000 fans . "Thanks to this project whose works we are visiting today, the Atlético de Madrid Club will enjoy new facilities. They will have the opportunity to play in one of the most modern and best-located sports monuments due to its easy access to the city. The Atletico football Club will consolidate its possion among the most important football teams in the world with a stadium that meets a sufficient technical capacity to match the requirements of the highest level of international football. " In addition, the Mayor confirmed that the new stadium will host important sport events of various kinds, as it has been happening until now. " The Olympic Stadium of Madrid, popularly known as La Peineta is an example of versatility . As a multi-purpose stadium has hosted important events for our city since it opened in 1994. This utility will continue once the remodeling project, the transformation of its infrastructure by increasing the capacity and its modernization of its interior and exterior is over".

 Ana Botella after seeing the progress of the works in the building site said that the  Atletico will inaugurate the new stadium in the summer of 2016. " With this visit we found the great stage of the works and I am convinced that the provisions of the club to use the stadium from 2016 will be met . The Atlético  de Madrid club is making big steps to accommodate its 70,000 fans , I'm sure that they will encourage their team as they always have done, with joy, excitement and sportsmanship. All members of the red and white family, fans, staff , directors, should be very excited about the progress of the work".

Finally , the Mayor of Madrid stated that the access road to the new stadium will be called 'Avenida Luis Aragonés ' . " Soon, the plenary of the City Council of Madrid, proposed by  the district of San Blas , will approve naming the access road to the Stadium with the name of Luis Aragones ," She concluded .
