An MRI confirmed that Arda Turan sprained his left ankle
The radiological test confirmed doctor Villalón’s diagnosis to withdraw the player from the pitch in the game against Valencia.
Arda Turan has a grade 2 sprain in his ankle, as confirmed by MRI scans which were submitted on Monday in the Majadahonda Fremap Clinic. The test has ratified the first diagnosis of the head of medical services of Atletico Madrid, Dr. Jose Maria Villalon, who attended to him on the pitch of the Calderon. The Turk tried to continue once he was treated by medical services, but eventually the pain prevented him from continuing on the pitch and he had to be replaced by Raul Garcia.
The Turkish international will now face a recovery process from this injury based on physical therapy and rehabilitation work in the gym.
