Adrián pointed out that the team is mentally prepared to go step by step, “We’re there. Time is running out, it’s only five matches, we’re leading. We’ll try to keep going match by match, trying to win the points and stay there”.

The Atlético emphasized that at the beginning of the season he didn’t expect the team to be where they are right now, but “It’s what you always hope for, to be able to compete in the League. We know it’s very complicated due to the level of the rest of the rivals. The truth is that it’s very satisfying to see us there. The fans, all of the Atléticos are very excited”. The Asturian player was calm and sure of what the team has to do to stay on the same path. “We have to carry on like this, knowing that all the matches left are all finals. We’ll play as if it were a final and try to end the season well”.

Regarding the next League fixture, Adrián pointed out that the team is not thinking, “The match against Elche is going to be easy. We know they have a lot on stake and it’s going to be very complicated”. Furthermore, he’s sure the fans are not going to disappoint and will help them win the victory. “I don’t know if there’ll be less people because of the dates we’re at, but we know that those who come to the field are going to be with at 200%, as they always are. If we play our cards well, we can win the match”.

Adrián added that in this final stretch of the League, “Every match is complicated because all the teams have something at stake. Whether it is to get into the European, or to avoid relegation. Every rival, every match is very difficult”. In view of this, the Asturian player was very confident that, “The most important thing is to face each fixture as if it were a final, as we’ve always done, and doing so has served us well”.
