18 players travel to Grand Canary
Diego Pablo Simeone calls 18 players for the King’s Cup match. Carrasco, with mild discomfort and Thomas, who joins Ghana to play the African Cup, are not on the squad list. The player from the reserve team, Juan Moreno, also travels with the team.
Simeone called 18 players to play the first leg match of the King’s Cup last 16. Juan Moreno is back on the list going to the friendly in Saudi Arabia. Oblak, Carrasco, Thomas, August and Cerci were not called.
These are the players on the squad list:
Goalkeepers: Moyá and Moreira.
Defenders: Godín, Giménez, Savic, Vrsaljko, Lucas, Filipe and Juanfran.
Midfielders: Koke, Saúl, Gabi, Gaitán and Juan Moreno.
Forwards: Griezmann, Fernando Torres, Gameiro and Correa.
