From October 2nd 1966, Atlético de Madrid has played its matches on the banks of the Manzanares river. The Calderón has witnessed great achievements like winning the Intercontinental Cup or the League of the double, besides hosting games in the 1982 World Cup. Our coliseum, with a capacity for 54,907 spectators, is listed by UEFA as a five-star stadium and the biggest names in the world of football have stepped on to the pitch.
