Yannick Carrasco now wears the red and white colours. The Belgian player has been presented at Majadahonda’s Sports City this Monday. The young winger was accompanied by the Chairmn, Enrique Cerezo, and the Sporting Director, José Luis Pérez Caminero.
Enrique Cerezo opened the event welcoming Atlético’s new player. The Chairman said that "we are pleased to welcome Yannick Carrasco to our Club, a young 21 year-old Belgian who has shown his quality and projection in Monaco. Despite his youth, the footballer has won his stripes as an international with Belgium and has had noteworthy performances in the Champions League with the club from Monaco."
After the words from the Chairman came the turn of Yannick Carrasco. The Belgian player started giving thanks: "First of all, thank you for being here. Thank you very much to the Chairman for those words. I arrived on Friday morning and on Saturday I was training with the team. Everything has gone well."
Regarding Simeone, Carrasco said that "the coach told me that he wanted me very much. That he liked my style of defending and attacking, the one-on-one. I knew that Atlético was a very big club."
Lastly, the brand new signing sent a message to the fans: "I hope to play very well, score many goals, give many passes and give my all for this shirt."
