We’re in the Champions League semi-finals!
We will face Arsenal in the next round.
Atlético de Madrid are back to being one of the best four teams on the continent for the first time in nine seasons. In an exciting knockout tie, which we won this tuesday against FC Barcelona at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, Diego Pablo Simeone’s side have reached the Champions League semi-finals. In the penultimate round of the competition, we will face Arsenal, who Sporting CP in quarter-finals.
The first-leg will be played at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano on Wednesday, April 29, with the second-leg being played on Tuesday, 5 May at the Arsenal Stadium, both games at 21:00 CEST.
We’ve made it to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League on six occasions -facing Real Madrid (on two occasions), Celtic FC , Ajax, Chelsea and Bayern München- with our final appearance coming in the 2016/17 season.
PSG and Bayern München will be face in the other semi-final.
