Atlético de Madrid and Juventus have come to an agreement for the Argentinian footballer to join the club for the current season.
Atlético de Madrid and Juventus have agreed that Nico Gonzalez will play on loan for the Spanish side. The midfielder will don the red-and-white uniform for the duration of the 2025/26 season.

The Argentinian international was given the green light upon completing his medical at the Vithas – Invictum High Performance Sports Medicine Centre at Madrid’s Arturo Soria University Hospital before heading to club offices at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium.
Nicolás Iván Gonzalez, born on 6th April 1998 in Belén de Escobar, Greater Buenos Aires, has had an impressive footballing career since making his debut with Argentinos Juniors. He appeared in 47 competitive games for the South American team, scoring 11 goals. In the 2016/17 season, he won the Primera B Naciónal with Argentinos Juniors, earning their promotion to the highest level of Argentine football.
In 2018 he made the switch to Europe and signed for VfB Stuttgart, where he made 79 appearances and scored 23 goals, playing a key role Bundesliga side. In 2021 he moved on to Fiorentina, where he made his mark in Italian football with 125 appearances and 38 goals across all competitions. He then signed for Juventus for the 2024/25 season. There González made 40 appearances for the Turin side across all competitions, tallying five goals.
At the international level, Gonzalez has represented the Argentina national team on 41 occasions, scoring 6 goals so far. His honours with his country include two Copa América titles (2021 and 2024) and the Finalissima in 2022.
After signing his contract with us, Nico Gonzalez will travel to Argentina where he will join up with the national team camp.
