Álvaro Santiago Mouriño González (February 13, 2002, Montevideo, Uruguay) is a new player for Atlético de Madrid following the agreement reached with Racing Club de Montevideo for the transfer of the Uruguayan defender to our club, signing for the upcoming five seasons.
With only 21 years old, he is a powerful central defender, strong in tackles and anticipatory, who is not afraid to play the ball, showcasing powerful strides and skill on the field.
He began his career in the youth divisions of Club Nacional, where he eventually became captain. In 2022, he joined Racing Club de Montevideo, where his performances began to impress both the country and the international scene, while also helping the club from the capital return to the top tier of Uruguayan football.
