Our club and Villarreal have reached an agreement for the transfer of the Norwegian forward, who has signed a contract for the next four seasons.
Atlético de Madrid and Villarreal have reached an agreement for the transfer of Alexander Sørloth, who signs with our club until 2028. The 28-year-old Norwegian international is a forward with great physical power thanks to his 195 cm height.
A product of the Rosenberg academy, Sørloth made his debut with the Norwegian club's first team in 2013 in a Europa League qualifying match, in which he also scored. He played in various leagues such as the Eredivisie, Premier League, Jupiler Pro League and Bundesliga before making his move to LaLiga with Real Sociedad. From the San Sebastian team, he moved to Villarreal in 2023, where he enjoyed a spectacular season, scoring 26 goals and providing six assists in 41 matches.
In May 2016, the forward made his debut with the Norway national team at just 20 years in a match against Portugal. He has scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in 53 international appearances.
The forward has passed his medicals, which were held at the Unidad de Medicina Deportiva de Vithas I Invictum.
