New clash against the reigning three-time Belgian champions
For the second time in the last five seasons, we will face the Belgian team in the european competition.
One of our opponents in the group stage of the top club competition will be Club Brugge, a team with great domestic success. The Belgians have eighteen league titles to their name, as well as eleven Belgian Cups and seventeen Belgian Supercups.
On their way to the Champions League they managed to qualify without participating in the preliminary rounds by winning the Jupiler Pro-League, the Belgian league competition.
We will have to visit again the Jan Breydel Stadium in Bruges, with a capacity of 30.000 spectators. We have faced Bruges three times: once in the European Cup in 77/78, in the Cup Winners' Cup in 91/92 and in the UEFA Champions League 18/19 edition.
In the team coached by Carl Hoefkens, several players stand out such as Lang, Vanaken, Ferran Jutglá or Mignolet.
