We visit Real Betis in a new LaLiga challenge
This Sunday 20 August, from 9:30pm, we will play the second league match of the season against Betis.
On Sunday, the competition returns for Diego Pablo Simeone's men. After taking the first three points of the season against Granada at home, we will travel to the Benito Villamarín to take on Real Betis on Sunday 20 August at 9:30pm. The referee will be Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea and Isidro Díaz de Mera Escuderos from the VOR.
Our team will face the green and white team with the intention of showing again the good image of the league debut and thus be able to return to Madrid with a positive result to our credit. For their part, the team coached by Pellegrini will be making their home debut this season after winning on the opening day against Villarreal CF thanks to goals from Ayoze Pérez and Willian José (1-2).
The direct confrontation against the Betis has been positive for our club with 62 wins, 25 draws and 29 defeats in 116 matches played. Likewise, since the arrival of Simeone to our bench, we have only lost once to the Sevillians in the 21 matches that the Argentinian has coached, as well as winning 16 times and drawing on four other occasions. On the other hand, the last meeting the Red & White side won thanks to Griezmann's brace.
