THE INITIATIVE SEEKS MOBILITY SOLUTIONS

We're collaborating with UEFA in their “Champions Innovate” program

Through Atleti Lab, our club is participating in the fourth edition of “Champions Innovate,” the UEFA program that, on this occasion, is seeking solutions to anticipate, optimize and adapt mobility around the 2027 final at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.

Our club is collaborating through Atleti Lab in the fourth edition of 'Champions Innovate', the UEFA Innovation Hub flagship program, which in this edition is seeking solutions for fan mobility in conjunction with the organization of the 2027 final at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. The club will contribute its expertise in the operation of the facility and by having its professionals participate in the workshops to be held with the selected organizations.

“Champions Innovate” focuses on three key areas: anticipating travel patterns through data analysis, optimizing fan travel routes, and improving real-time mobility management.

How to participate

The call for applications is open to start-ups, research centres, academic institutions, non-profit organisations and technology and mobility companies, among others.

Do you have an idea that could improve the mobility experience for fans attending a Champions League final? Find out more here and submit your proposal using the official application form before 29 November.

Competition guidelines

The selected organisations will receive €25,000 in funding from UEFA, specialist mentoring and access to relevant testing environments and data to develop and trial their pilot projects. Solutions must offer a tangible service and a minimum viable product, or several demonstrable use cases. Their measurable impact, scalability, innovation, collaborative potential and data-driven approach will all be taken into consideration.

Competition timeline

Applications will be open from 30 October to 29 November 2026. Applications will be assessed and participants selected in December. Pilot projects will then be developed between January and May 2027. The programme's presentation phase will conclude on 3 June 2027 with a networking event in Madrid.
