We present a ‘Legendary Final - Commitment to Peace,' a tribute to the Vicente Calderón

A ‘Legendary Final - Commitment to Peace' was presented in the VIP Lounge of the Vicente Calderón, a solidarity match that will commemorate the 50 years of the Vicente Calderón on the 28th of May. It is promoted by our Foundation, Scholas Occurrentes and the Association of Atlético de Madrid’s former players.

The presentation event was led by our chairman Enrique Cerezo, who was proud to carry out this initiative to say farewell to the Calderón under the Commitment to Peace: "What a better way to say goodbye than with a 'Legendary Final,' with the presence of Atlético legends and players of our current squad on the pitch, with whom we have had such good times, and at the same time have legends and big stars of the world football present, who have also enjoyed playing at the Calderón as rivals and that will join this emotional goodbye in the best tribute to our emblematic stadium.”

It will be a hundred percent solidarity event in which the gate money will be destined to the integration of disadvantaged children through the Scholas Occurrentes's network that has more than 446,000 schools and education-related networks in 190 countries.

In representation of the legends that have played with our club, Adelardo, Miguel Ángel Ruiz, Solozábal, Caminero, Aguilera, Manolo, Vizcaíno, Luiz Pereira, Perea and Antonio López attended the presentation event. Gabi, Juanfran and Koke represented the current squad.
