The national team head coach, Vicente del Bosque, released the list of footballers who will play the qualifying matches for the upcoming 2012 European Cup. These games will be held on the 8th and 12th of October in Salamanca and Glasgow against Lithuania and Scotland, respectively.

The players called up by Vicente del Bosque are:

Defenders: Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos, Puyol, Piqué, Marchena, Capdevila, Monreal

Midfielders: Xabi Alonso, Busquets, Cazorla, Iniesta
