Two goals from Torres and to the quarter-finals
Two goals from Torres in the first minute of each half finished Real Madrid and their attempt to come back. Atlético is in the quarter-finals of the King’s Cup.

The atmosphere that had built-up at the Santiago Bernabéu was spectacular, but the stands froze in only 50 seconds. That’s all it took for Atlético de Madrid to create a textbook counter-attack that ended at Griezmann’s feet and the French passed it to Fernando Torres who pushed it into the net with a left-foot drive.
However, Real Madrid soon tried to equalize the scoreboard, but in their first shot, a header from Bale, they met a good intervention from Oblak. On the second occasion, in the 20th minute, Ramos tied with a header. The match played by our team in defence was perfect, coming out in the last quarter of an hour with criterion, playing in short touches and coming near Navas’ box, like with a shot from Torres that nearly went in.
But the script was repeated in the second half. Quick red and white counter-attack from Griezmann with a pass to Torres inside the box, cut and shot which becomes the 1-2. Ronaldo tied when there was more than half an hour left. Atlético controlled the match at will and achieved a draw, like in the Spanish Super Cup, which gets them into the quarter-finals.
