Trippier: “The new players have gelled very quickly”
Our right-back spoke after the 2-1 win in Mexico.
Trippier shared his thoughts on the pre-season following Saturday’s 2-1 win over Atlético de San Luis.
“These pre-season matches are very important to me, because I want to show what I can do to the coach, my teammates and the fans. It’s been important to get minutes, and hopefully I’ve done well,” our right-back said.
The Englishman said that the new signings had settled in very quickly.
“When players leave, it’s difficult to replace them. We’ve certainly done that with the players that have come in, everybody’s gelled very quickly. Simeone has set the team up very well, and we’ve all adapted very quickly. I’m surprised at how quickly I’ve settled into the team, and I can only thank the coaches, teammates and staff for making me feel so welcome.”
Trippier vowed to give it his all for our team.
“I always give 110% every game. I will do that for this shirt, these fans and everybody involved with the club. I’m just delighted to be here. It’s going to be a challenge, but one I’m willing to take on.”
