Tough defeat against Espanyol
Our lads tried and tried, but couldn't get the win.
Today's match at the Wanda Metropolitano was an afternoon to forget as our side suffered a 0-2 defeat to Espanyol.
Our side tried to control the match, but Espanyol were disciplined in the back and defended well. Vitolo had lots of initiative and created good chances for our side, but had to be subbed off in the 26th minute after feeling some muscular discomfort in his right thigh. He was replaced by Arona Sané, who made his debut for the first team.
Melendo and Leo Baptistao scored for Espanyol in the second half to give the Catalan side the win.
Our next match will be on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. against Getafe.
