MATCH RECAP

Tough blow against PSG

Despite our team playing well and creating chances in Singapore, we lost 3-2 to PSG.

It wasn't meant to be. In Singapore against PSG, we suffered our first defeat in preseason. Christopher Nkunku, Moussa Diaby and Virgiliu Postolachi scored for the Parisians, while Víctor Mollejo and an Antoine Bernede own goal moved the scoreboard up for our side.

We started the match off strongly and had quite a few dangerous chances to score, however we had bad luck with our finishing and Kevin Trapp played a brilliant match between the sticks for PSG. On a counter on the 32nd minute, Nkunku scored the first goal of the match.

In the second half we continued creating great chances, but had a tough time sending the ball into the back of the net. On the other hand, Antonio Adán made a few good saves whenever called upon.

Following a defensive mistake, Diaby scored PSG's second of the night. However, our lads didn't give up and Mollejo scored for our side. He celebrated his first-ever goal for our club by kissing the badge. Moments later, Bernede scored an own goal following a great play from Borja Garcés to tie the match up. It looked like the game was going to penalties, but Postolachi scored in injury time to give the Parisians the win.

The match ended 3-2 and our stage in Singapore has come to an end.
