Torres: "It’s been a beautiful day, a day to enjoy"
Number 19 analysed the second leg of the King's Cup round of 16 in which he scored two goals.
Fernando Torres, the scorer of the two Atlético goals analysed the fixture in front of the microphones of Canal+: "The early goal made us play the game we wanted. We had phases of a lot of pressure and troubles, but there was never a moment in which the qualifying round was in danger, which is not easy at the Bernabéu."
Fernando Torres was happy after scoring a double that achieved the pass to the quarter-finals: "I’m happy for the people who came, to score my first two goals in this homecoming and in a stadium in which I hadn’t scored yet. It’s been a beautiful day, a day to enjoy and to think about Sunday."
Lastly, Torres highlighted the performance of his teammate Griezmann, who gave him two assists: "We have to let Griezmann grow, you have to enjoy things with him and make him feel like an important player, because he is. We all know he has a great future and as a teammate, to enjoy with him, to help him so he can make all of us grow."
