GOOD MATCH FROM OUR TEAM IN WHICH ONLY THE GOAL WAS MISSING (0-0)

Tie at the Olympic Stadium

The keeper of Roma, Alisson, was his team’s hero, by saving his team up to nine times. A point that is not enough to start the Champions League group stage.

Ours players entered very concentrated to win the match against Roma at the Olympic Stadium. The first warning came from Saúl, with a shot that hit the post and went wide at the very beginning of the match. Atlético’s control went from less to more and Vietto had two more chances, saved by the keeper, and another one by Griezmann, which just missed the goal. The response from the Romans came from Nainggolan, but he met a great Oblak. But the best chance was Koke’s, in a great collective play saved by a defender under the sticks.

After the interval, a superior Atlético that continued having chances to score. Vietto, Saúl, Correa twice, and Carrasco, tried the home keeper, who avoided his team’s defeat. Saúl had the last double opportunity and between Alisson and the post, they avoided the goal. A tie to begin the Champions League group stage
