Tiago trained with his teammates for the first time in Majadahonda
The session lasted an hour and twenty minutes
Tiago Mendes was the big star of the morning session on Friday the 22nd at the Ciudad Deportiva in Majadahonda. The Portuguese player, after terminating his contract with Juventus to sign for Atlético de Madrid, joined the group in the training upon the team's return from the triangular tournament in Granada against the home side and the Turkish side Besiktas.
The session was shorter than usual, an hour and twenty minutes, in which the rojiblancos did some running and some ball work designed to practice pressing.
Goalkeeping coach Joan Mesquida worked specifically with the four goalkeepers, Joel, Asenjo, Iago and Andrés.
Those who played the the small sided games later performed a physical exercise routine to finish with a game in the middle of a field in which Iago and Andrés went in goals. Asenjo and Joel continued to work specifically with Mesquida until the end of the session. The game was made up of Iago, Antonio López, Mario Suárez, Noguera, Miranda, Raúl García and Valera against Andrés, Salvio, Filipe, Tiago, Fran Mérida, César Ortiz y Pedro.
