Third time lucky
After falling in Valencia and Barcelona, Atletico are looking for their first away points in the league this Saturday in Granada
An evening kick off in Granada at 10pm will see Atletio go in search of their first points on the road this season in what looks to be a sold out came in the Andalusian city. A great atmosphere will await the rojiblancos in the Estadio Nuevos Cármenes.
Grandad have a good home record, having won all their league encounters in their own stadium. With Atletico coming in to this game having been beaten easily last time out in Barcelona and suffering a narrow defeat against Valencia, they’ll be hoping it’s third time lucky this evening.
The FIFA virus has weakened the Atletico squad with Silvio, Salvio and Arda Turan all out due to injuries. Granada will be without David Cortes and Jose Juan, although Argentine striker Franco has recovered in time for the meeting.
With the exception of Turan, Gregorio Manzano travels to Granada with all his attacking options in a must win game. Diego, Reyes, Adrian, Pizzi and Falcao have made the 19 man squad. Atletico will be looking for the first goal of the season away from home in the league.
