The party carries on

Atletico Madrid go in search of their third straight win, follow live on @ATM_es

After last week with six goals and two victories over Celtic (2-0) and Racing (4-0) at the Calderon, Atletico Madrid faces its third game on the banks of the Manzanares, looking  to add another three points ahead of the visit to the Camp Nou. The opponent this afternoon (20.00) will be Manuel Preciado’s Sporting, who have yet to pick up a point in the league, but Gregorio Manzano is wary: 'They´ll come to fight for every ball and every minute of the match'.   The team from Gijón arrive at the Calderon with no points on the board but with 23 players all available for selection. Preciado will wait until the last minute to announce his team. In the three league defeats against Valencia (0-1), Osasuna (2-1) and Real Sociedad (1-2), Sporting were never beaten by  more than one goal signaling that the game will not be easy.   Atletico, meanwhile, will try to continue their winning streak at home. Manzano’s men have won all official matches this season at the Calderon, except for the league opener against Osasuna, and the fans have been able to celebrate 10 goals at an average of two per game.   Manzano will continue with the rotations, which have worked well so far. Koke, Assuncao, Antonio Lopez and Silvio return to the squad at the expense of Tiago, Asenjo, Diego Godin, Pulido and Juanfran, who rest ahead of future meetings. Diego will be out due to some minor discomfort in the thigh muscle.   Atletico will try to extend the winning streak in the league against the Asturias in the Calderon. Sporting have failed to score in the Atletico stadium since the 1992/1993 season. Preciado's team will look to put that right this afternoon.   Follow everything that goes on live on the pitch of the Calderon via the club's official twitter account: @ ATM_es
