The Royal Spanish Football Federation, after a meeting with Club Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid CF, has determined that the final of the Copa King will be played on Friday May 17th at 21:30 pm at the Bernabeu.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation, after a meeting with Club Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid at the Soccer City in Las Rozas, has named the official venue, date and time of the final of the Copa del Rey. The Spanish football's governing body has determined that the match will be played on Friday May 17th at 21:30 in the Bernabeu.
The meeting was held at the premises of the RFEF in Madrid, attended by the Club Atlético de Madrid Managing Director Clemente Villaverde Fernando Fariza director of the Social Area. In the past weeks both clubs held a series of meetings with the aim of defining issues relating to the meeting, including the allocation of seats for both clubs.

After the meeting, representatives of the three parties appeared at a press conference to explain the deal to the media. The first to speak was the General Secretary of the Federation, Jorge Perez, who said the resolution passed: "We have come to a consensus proposal that is that the game is played on Friday 17 May at 21:30 at the Bernabeu. That proposal accepted by the RFEF and is perfect for us."
Emilio Butragueño, representative of Real Madrid, stressed that "the relationship between the two clubs is extraordinary and this agreement proves it. We agree on everything and are very satisfied. The stadium's capacity has been crucial, as it is a feast of football, hence it has been a factor in the final decision."
Meanwhile, Clemente Villaverde has re-emphasized that "it was a matter fully consensual and common sense has prevailed. It's best for the two clubs. There has been full agreement between the parties. The two clubs have agreed in a very short space of time."
