The Infantil A, Wanda Football Cup champion
Our team won FC Porto in the final, in a match resolved on penalties after finishing 2-2 in the regulatory time.
The Atlético de Madrid Infantil A Men’s team was proclaimed on Sunday champion of the Wanda Football Cup in the Wanda Training Complex - Los Angeles de San Rafael, where they beat FC Porto by 1-3 on the penalties after tying 2- 2 in the regulatory time.
Marcio and Fran scored the rojiblanco goals, while Joel Oliveira, at the end top scorer of the competition, scored both for the Portuguese team. Later, in the penalty shootout, Fran, Blanca and Koke scored their penalties, while Luciano stopped two and was confirmed as one of the heroes of the victory.
Thus, as exciting as possible, finished the first edition of the Wanda Football Cup, which for four days brought together at Wanda Training Complex - Los Angeles de San Rafael to eleven of the best academies in the world. All of them were recognized at the awards ceremony held at the conclusion of the final, where our boys received their champions trophy from Miguel Ángel Gil, CEO of Atlético de Madrid, and Han Lei, Wanda's sports representative Spain.
