Atleti earned an important 2-0 away win against Celta on Saturday.

Luis Suárez provided the perfect start as he put us in front from inside the box. Manu Sánchez, who started at left-back, got the assist. Our team completed an excellent opening 20 minutes, but the hosts then improved and were close to scoring twice. First they hit the post and then Oblak was forced to make a fantastic one on one save. Lemar was close to scoring from a corner kick as he curved the ball onto the top of the crossbar. The Frenchman also provided an excellent cross for Costa, but the striker headed over.

However, our number 19 picked up an injury early into the second half while setting up Suárez, who was off target from close range. Joao Félix came on for him, and Manu Sánchez also made way for Felipe. With the substitution, Hermoso switched from the centre of defence to left-back. After a few minutes in which neither side had decent chances, Simeone made another double change as Carrasco and Llorente came on for Suárez and Lemar. Celta tried to get the equaliser, but we also had our chances, such as a left-foot strike from Llorente from inside the box. Herrera came on for Correa with 15 minutes to go. The hosts had a late chance to equalise, but it was Carrasco who got the late goal after a fantastic strike from Joao Félix that struck the crossbar. Our team earned three important points.
