Solid win against Lokomotiv Moscow
Our side got a great win against Lokomotiv in the Wanda Metropolitano thanks to Saúl Diego Costa and Koke's goals.
Thanks to Saúl Ñíguez, Diego Costa and Koke's goals, Atlético de Madrid got a great win in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16 against Lokomotiv Moscow.
Our side got off to a great start and were dominating possession. We had the best chances and were constantly in Lokomotiv's half of the pitch. The first goal came in the 22nd minute. Sául took a shot from 30 meters and the ball went in the top corner to give us the lead.
In the second half, we kept dominating and Costa doubled our lead nearly immediately. Guilherme made a great save to deny Antoine Griezmann and Costa took advantage of the rebound to score the second. After scoring the second, Diego Pablo Simeone made some changes and Kevin Gameiro, Fernando Torres and Vitolo came on the pitch.
In the final stretch of the match, a great Juanfran cross found Koke who scored the third. Our lads have a great result for the return leg in Moscow.
