Simeone:”What we’re achieving is a result of the hard work"
Diego Pablo Simeone appeared before the media with the same face as always. He spoke of his players, highlighted the work of the whole team and his philosophy, to savour this win but to start thinking in Porto on Tuesday.
The Atletico coach, comparing the triumph to that of four months ago in the Cup final said that "the result is much better than anything. I compare it to the final because winning a cup final at the stadium of your eternal rival is important. It has been very a very good performance. About Diego Costa , he said that "we all need to improve to grow. Everyday I talk with him. There is no perfect player. The best of him is the illusion that he has. It is a pure plauer who is appreciated by his team mates."
Regarding whether Atletico may be a candidate for the title after this victory, Simeone was emphatic in stating that "Looking at the table you would sat yes, but the economic power of Barcelona and Real Madrid is important. We will go game by game."
Finally, on the match against Porto, he said "Tuesday's game will be hard. We'll see how the team responds. I’m sure the team will respond."
