Simeone: "We won a very tough game that we needed to win"
Diego Pablo Simeone, Godín and Griezmann spoke following our team's 3-2 win against Valladolid.
Simeone spoke to the media following Atleti's 3-2 win against Valladolid on Saturday, claiming he was very happy to get the three points.
"I'm very happy about the win. We needed to win away from home," the Argentine said.
Our coach also praised Valladolid.
"They are a tough opponent. They play well at home, they're doing a very good job in LaLiga. They scored two set piece goals, but our team reacted and we won a very tough and difficult game that we needed," Simeone said.
Godín praised the team's reaction to get the win.
"The team reacted very well to the equaliser. We rebelled and found the third goal to get the win. It's always important to win away from home. It was an important match," our captain said.
Griezmann, who scored two goals and gave an assist, was happy about his performance.
"I'm very happy to help the team. It's been a very long year, we have won more game to finish it off well and then we can rest. There are matches in which it's difficult to be fast, but I was able to score two goals," the Frenchman said.
