Simeone: "We want to compete the best way possible"
Our boss analyzed the team's qualification for the Europa League Round of 16.
Diego Pablo Simeone spoke to the press from the Wanda Metropolitano's auditorium and analyzed our team's performance against FC Copenhagen.
"Atlético de Madrid's fans are excited," he said. "Today, we inaugurated this marvelous auditorium, we have a marvelous stadium and lots of youngsters and veterans, who lead the way for the youngsters, in our squad."
Simeone hopes the team will continue showing the same intensity in the final months of the season.
"We're competing very well in LaLiga and we're going to try to do the same in the Europa League," our coach said. "We want to compete the best way possible."
Our boss also praised Kevin Gameiro's good goalscoring form.
"He's an important player," he said. "We've always believed in him and in his velocity in the final third. His goals are helping him and the team. He's in fine form."
