THE RED AND WHITE COACH TRUSTS ON HAVING A GREAT MATCH

Simeone: "We think match-by-match"

The argentinian commented to the media that Valencia, this Saturday at 16:00 in Mestalla, will force us to make a great effort in order to gain the victory.

The red and white coach appeared at the press conference prior this Saturday's game in Mestalla at 16:00 against Valencia. He highlighted that he hoped to have a great match and to get the three points. "We are doing great. We hope to play a big game tomorrow, focusing only on the things we can solve. We will try to be competitive against a rival that's growing and has formed a stupendous team. They have a great coach and work very well on the counterattack. Obviously, we"ll be asked to make a great effort," he said.

Simeone reminded everyone again that the match philosophy remains intact, approach each match as if it were the last, but always respecting the rival. "We think match-by-match. We don't want to underestimate Valencia by talking about a possible victory. We talk about the match that we have to play and how it's very important because they have a great game and plenty of speed on the wings. Their midfield has a lot of technique with Parejo and their wingers who work very well. We're focused on playing a very complete match." he noted.

The Argentinian also stressed that the team is getting better and the last two victories served to reinforce the growth in the changing room. "I never make reference to only five or six matches because it's too early. We keep looking for our best best performance. The guys are making a great effort to compensate for some game situations we still need to improve. In these past two games, we've had the best consistency during game time. That creates the best situations," he mentioned.
