Simeone: “We need to improve and grow”
The Argentine, Saúl and Giménez spoke after Saturday’s match.
Simeone analysed Saturday’s 2-0 defeat against Real Sociedad.
“Real Sociedad were already better than us in the first half. We were well positioned but couldn’t progress. We played better in the last 15 or 20 minutes. LaLiga is clearly very difficult, we need to improve and grow,” the Argentine said.
Saúl praised our former keeper, Miguel Ángel Moyá, for his saves tonight.
“He played very well and made crucial saves, because we could have gone just one goal down and things would have been different. I congratulate him,” the Spaniard said.
Giménez also shared his thoughts after the game.
“We didn’t press well in the first half, but the score at half time was 0-0. In the second half they scored twice. We need to improve a few things. Real Sociedad played very well,” our defender said.
