THE ATLÉTICO COACH POINTED OUT THE DIFFICULTY OF THE MATCH AGAINST ELCHE

Simeone: “We hope to see a full Stadium and see it in harmony with what’s remaining”

Diego Pablo Simeone appeared before the media before the match against Elche. The Atlético coach was solely focused on the League fixture and encouraged the fans to go to the stadium.

The Atlético de Madrid coach emphasised in the pressroom that the team is solely concentrated on the fixture against Elche. “Inside the group, we’re only worried about concluding the match against Elche in the best possible way. We have a final tomorrow, nothing takes away from us having to resolve and decide how to best play and lead the game to the situations we want”.

Simeone showed himself to be completely immersed in the League’s next match. The key to achieve this will be, “Try to isolate from everyone and simply focus on the way to solve a difficult match, against a rival that tactically works very well, is organized, has speed on the side-lines, has good set piece actions”.

The Argentinian coach stressed Elche’s difficult situation, which makes them a complicated team. “They have to save themselves as soon as possible. They’ll try to do their job and the only thing we care about is how to play and direct the match to the situation that suits us best. To do that, we have to focus on how to compete and have intensity to be strong”.

We have to think on how to solve a match that’s always complicated against a team that works well, as is Elche” Simeone indicated. Moreover, the Atlético coach pointed out several items of the game of Fran Escribá’s team. “They close tightly, they come out well of the counter-attacks. In Valencia they were close to make a good result, they did a good match”.

Lastly, Simeone indicated that against Elche he hopes to, “See a full stadium and see it in harmony of what’s remaining, that is, the matches against Chelsea, Málaga and the one against Elche”. “We have three fixtures where we want a full stadium” the Argentinian concluded.
