THE COACH CONSIDERS THE SWEDISH TEAM TO PLAY DIFFERENTLY AT THEIR STADIUM

Simeone: “We have to play an important game against Malmö”

The red and white coach talks about a very even group which won't be decided until the end. That is why he gives so much importance to Sweden's match.

Diego Pablo Simeone said about this round's rival that “you appreciate on the videos and TV they're a team who plays at home with 4-4-2 although I don't think they'll use that system tomorrow. That makes them have more attacking possibilities by their wingers and forwards. They did so against Olympiacos and afterwards changed to a 3-5-2. I hope tomorrow they play with a 3-5-2.”

Malmö's coach has praised Atlético saying they are the best team that will play at their stadium, including national teams. Simeone pointed out, “as Gabi said, praises are important. In consequence, we have to try to deliver on what the rival thinks about our team. We hope to play a good match and know of the needs and characteristics of Malmö on their field. They are a team that is more intense on their field, with a more offensive game and very talented people. We will have to watch out and answer in the best possible way.”

Regarding whether a victory would be a definitive step in the group, he said, "everything is so tight and so difficult because there are four champions, that I would not underestimate any situation from tomorrow’s result. Until the last day, this group will be hard-fought. We have to play an important match tomorrow. I don't think the group can be decided in the coming days."

Malmö has not conceded a goal at home in the last eight European matches. On that premise, he was asked whether Griezmann would play on the inside or with Raúl García, to which replied, "yesterday we did regenerative work for those who played and the others trained well. Now that both are well, we'll see who plays tomorrow. We can have the solutions with either but they can also play together."
