Diego Pablo Simeone analysed his team's victory against the Malmö FF (5-0) in the third round of the UEFA Champions League: "We played very well. We played the game that suited us to harm them. We were persistent and consistent in the game and the match was more and more in our favour."
Simeone emphasised the great work of the red and white team in the second half: "The key was to keep insisting. In the first half, you could see that the team was close to the goal. In the second half, we improved the precision in the last meters and broke their defensive structure."
Simeone highlighted the performing work of Griezmann, who signed the third of as many goals in the match: "Beyond the goal, what I liked the most was his work, his attitude, his defensive participation, how he got involved in the team's needs, their slips and their through balls. Scoring the goal he played a very good match from the movements."
