Diego Pablo Simeone spoke at the press conference before the match of the League’s eighth round against Espanyol, which in his opinion will be a difficult duel. "We’re very good. Espanyol competes very well, they don’t concede a lot of goals and they work with an intensity similar to ours. I expect a tough match, hard-worked, with many breaks, as well as being aware of the white and blue offensive danger", he said.

Tomorrow I expect a strong team, knowing how difficult it will be

In addition, our coach valued the importance of the fans at Sunday's match. "We value being prepared to be in the best possible shape, knowing the importance of the match, obviously being aware of the necessities the team has. We hope to respond well. I also expect the Calderón to be packed, as it will be, and close to a team that are doing well and need to win the match", he said.

The philosophy of the following matches remains firm and the coach knows the direction the team needs to follow. "We base our work on concentration, on group work, and when the team is on that line, it’s difficult to compete with them. Tomorrow I expect a strong team, knowing how difficult it will be, it’s an important match".
