Simeone: "There is no footballer from Barça who should have the ball for longer"
The coach analysed at press conference this Sunday’s match that will bring our team face to face with FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
Diego Pablo Simeone spoke to the media at the press conference prior to this Sunday’s game against FC Barcelona. Our coach spoke of a team he considers very strong in all the areas of the field. "FC Barcelona is a team with a lot of possession and great individualities in all the sectors of the field. They can handle the counter-attack, the possession, they have good pressure and it continues to maintain the traits that have led them to the best place in the world."
As for the winter market, our coach says there are still movement options inside the team. "I’m open to any other exit or entry. This is football and we know there are needs of the players and the clubs. I always focus on the people who want to be here, that we are excited to share and compete in a team like ours," he summed up.
Lastly, Simeone analysed the importance of having a player like Diego Godín in our ranks. "He’s a very difficult player to replace. His balance in all areas of his life makes him have an important place in the locker room and in world football. He’s a reference and that’s why we made him into one of the team captains," he concluded.
