Simeone reaches 250 wins as Atleti coach
Following our 1-0 win against Levante on Sunday, the Argentine reached 250 wins as Atlético de Madrid coach.
Diego Pablo Simeone reached on Sunday his 250th win as Atleti coach. He did so just a few days after the seventh anniversary of his debut.
His record is phenomenal: 168 LaLiga wins, 33 Champions League victories, 21 Europa League triumphs, 25 Copa del Rey wins, two UEFA Super Cuo victories and one Spanish Super Cup triumph. These numbers give Simeone the best win percentage in the history of Spanish football: 61.42% in 407 games.
Only three LaLiga coaches have earned 250 wins in all competitions at the same club. Atleti legend Luis Aragonés surpassed the milestone of 300 victories in the 612 matches in which he was in charge.
Moreover, Simeone is the coach who has won the most titles at our club (seven): one LaLiga, two Europa Leagues, one Copa del Rey, two UEFA Super Cups and one Spanish Super Cup.
