Simeone reaches 100 victories
The Argentinian coach reaches 100 victories after beating Almería (0-1) in the Juegos del Mediterráneo Stadium.
Diego Pablo Simeone, after the victory against Almeria (0-1), garnered his 100th win for Atlético de Madrid since he came to occupy the bench in December 2011.
The Argentinian coach won his first three points last January 15th, 2012 against Villarreal (3-0). Since then, thanks to 99 wins scattered between national (76 victories) and international competitions (24), Simeone has managed to achieve 100 victories for Atlético de Madrid, only achieved before by Ricardo Zamora and Luis Aragonés.
The round figure of 100 victories came thanks to a well-aimed header from Joao Miranda in minute 60 to beat Rubén in the fifth round of the BBVA League.
