Simeone prepares for the game against Celta Vigo
After the game against Deportivo, Atletico Madrid trained for the first time this week with the mind set on the next league game on Wednesday, also in Galicia, against Celta Vigo.
Atletico Madrid returned to training in Majadahonda Sports City after the draw against Deportivo La Coruna. Only three days after the Champions League place was mathematically sealed, Atletico will play a league match on Wednesday against Celta Vigo looking to secure third place in the league.
Diego Pablo Simeone had the whole first team available except for Cata Díaz who did not train with the Argentine coach’s prior consent. The session was also attended by youth players Oliver, Saul and Manquillo.
The session, which lasted an hour and fifteen minutes, started with a dynamic warm-up exercises without the ball and continued with stretching to warm up all the muscles of the players. Before preparing the tactics for the Vigo game, the players, under the direction of Oscar Ortega, did some continuous running exercises.
