Simeone praised our team’s performance despite Saturday’s 1-1 draw in Granada.
“It was possibly our best away game and definitely our most consistent display. Granada are a tough team, especially at their stadium. But we never backed down and tried to win until the end. We lacked ruthlessness in front of goal,” our coach said.
Koke was also happy with our team’s display.
“We gave it our all from the first until the last minutes. We had chances to win, now we must keep working hard. Granada are completing a great season. Now we have an important week coming up with a Champions League match on Tuesday and the massive game against Barcelona on Sunday,” our captain.
Herrera also shared his thoughts on the draw.
“We leave with a bitter sensation. I think we deserved more. We played well throughout the match, we were well organised, created chances… We must keep working on the little things that our opponents are capitalising on. On a personal level, I’m feeling better every day. I hope to continue to help the team,” the Mexican said.
