Diego Pablo Simeone, commented at the press conference after the match against Olympiacos that he was satisfied with the team’s offensive role although he regretted failing to convert more chances to score to turn the game. "I think the team attacked well, they had very clear chances in the first half, but they were hard on the attack. Olympiacos was precise when scoring and we weren’t with the chances we had", he acknowledged. At the same time he wanted to admit that, "it was a game where we got hurt in particular plays".

It was a complicated match, we knew it from the start

Atlético's coach commented that they were aware of the match’s difficulty and that this result complicates our team’s classification. "It was a complicated match, we knew it from the start. Olympiacos starts from a very strong position to qualify and it makes us more uncomfortable to play at home against Juventus, who also start from a good position", he said.

In addition, the Argentinian assured that for the next UEFA Champions League match against Turin’s Juventus, our team will try to "play with utmost responsibility, knowing what's at stake". Although, he was very cautious, since "it’s too early, there’s still a lot to play".
