Simeone: "It'll be a beautiful final"
Our boss spoke to the press and gave his thoughts on Wednesday's #UELFinal.
Following our two captains, Diego Pablo Simeone took the stage at the Stade de Lyon and analyzed the upcoming UEFA Europa League final against Olympique de Marseille.
"Tomorrow, we're going to play another final. We're feeling lots of emotions, but also humility. You need to be humble, work hard and understand we're going to face a tough rival," he said. "Olympique de Marseille have been magnificent in the Europa League."
Like Gabi and Godín said, Simeone knows the match against Olympique de Marseille will be challenging.
"It'll be a beautiful final," he said. "I see similarities between the two teams. We're going to need to seize control of the match."
Like the rest of our players, Simeone knows the match against Olympique de Marseille will be a tough one.
"They're a dangerous team offensively," our boss said. "They have very offensive minded wing backs and they're well prepared."
Lastly, Simeone gave a message to his squad.
"I want my players to be calm. It’s a football match and to win you need to play well."
