Simeone: "I'm happy with the result and the performance"
Our coach, Adán and Montero spoke after our team's 1-0 win in the Copa del Rey Last 32's first leg against UE Sant Andreu.
Simeone on Tuesday said that he was happy with the result and our team's performance after Tuesday's win against UE Sant Andreu.
"I liked how we played, we were focused. Our decisions up front were good and we tried to attack down the wings. I'm happy with the result and how we played," our coach said.
The Argentine also spoke about Gelson Martins, who scored his first goal for the club.
"I liked Gelson's generosity in terms of putting pressure on the defenders and helping the team. This adds to his speed and his willingness to speed up the counterattacks. Today he undoubtedly took a step forward," Simeone said.
Our goalkeeper Adán, who played tonight's match, was also pleased with the team's performance.
"We were very committed to getting the win. We have to seal the deal at our stadium," Adán said.
The Spanish keeper also spoke about the importance of stepping up when given the chance to play.

Academy player Montero made his first team debut.
